Hi, I'm Elisabeth, a self taught artist and  freelance illustrator based in Hamburg, Germany. I’ve been painting for as long as I can remember –  art weaves through every fiber of my being in all its facets.
When it comes to my classical oil paintings, I draw inspiration from academic classicism. I'm fascinated by the techniques of the old masters and have been incorporating them into my own paintings for years.
My illustrations, however, are heavily influenced by the Pre-Raphaelite movement, which references medieval motifs, early 20th-century Art Nouveau, and fairy tale illustrations.
Last but not least, some of my favorite artists are William A. Bouguereau, Kazuo Oga, Sandro Botticelli, Johannes Vermeer and Vincent van Gogh.
